Why so many small businesses fail?
In vs On the Business
Because most entrepreneurs don’t understand the difference between working in the business (doing the work) and working on the business (creating systems, marketing, managing, and planning for growth).
1. Their Greatest single asset, knowing the technical work of their business becomes their greatest single liability
The better you are at the technical work, the harder it is to let go of it.
You become the business.
You wear all the hats.
You’re the designer, the writer, the strategist, the support team, the marketing guy.
2. If your business depends on you, you don't own a business you have a job. And its the worst job in the world because you're working for a lunatic
You started with a dream of freedom, time, creativity, flexibility. But now, the business can’t run without you.
You're the engine, the wheels, and the fuel. If you stop, everything stops.
3. So, what is the solution? System.
The system runs the business. The People runs the system. In the Franchise Prototype, the system becomes solution to the problem.
4. Work is only an idea before a person does it.
